Job Summary
To undertake a range of non-destructive testing, (including Ultrasonic, MPI). The successful candidate will
be expected to evaluate and report in accordance with set procedures and specifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Ultrasonic Inspection (Immersion & Hand Scan)
Dye Penetrant Inspection.
MPI Inspection.
Work to the relevant procedures and specifications
To be responsible for the calibration of equipment
To be responsible for the recording of and reporting of results, with respect to interpreting,
evaluation and providing a verdict of results
Responsible for recording and reporting discrepancies where necessary
Material Movement, operation of FLT and overhead cranes.
Skills, Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
Ultrasonic examination level 2, MPI Level 2
Desirable Requirements:
A relevant vocational qualification e.g. NVQ, HNC, HND, ONC, C&G or an appropriate
apprenticeship. Employees without these qualifications but who can demonstrate relevant industrial
knowledge and experience will be considered
Magnetic Particle examination level 2
Dye Penetrant examination level 2
Ultrasonic Inspection level 2 (Immersion & Hand Scan)
