Hours 40 Hours per week
Job Summary
To undertake a range of non-destructive testing, (including Ultrasonic, MPI). The successful candidate will
be expected to evaluate and report in accordance with set procedures and specifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
 Ultrasonic Inspection (Immersion & Hand Scan)
 Dye Penetrant Inspection.
 MPI Inspection.
 Work to the relevant procedures and specifications
 To be responsible for the calibration of equipment
 To be responsible for the recording of and reporting of results, with respect to interpreting,
evaluation and providing a verdict of results
 Responsible for recording and reporting discrepancies where necessary
 Material Movement, operation of FLT and overhead cranes.
Skills, Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
 Ultrasonic examination level 2, MPI Level 2
 Desirable Requirements:
 A relevant vocational qualification e.g. NVQ, HNC, HND, ONC, C&G or an appropriate
apprenticeship. Employees without these qualifications but who can demonstrate relevant industrial
knowledge and experience will be considered
 Magnetic Particle examination level 2
 Dye Penetrant examination level 2
 Ultrasonic Inspection level 2 (Immersion & Hand Scan)
